Sharing our stoke for these magical islands

Where to start? There are plenty of tour companies, plenty of guides so why consider taking a tour or supporting Polar Folk. Well, if you are new here it comes down to what you read and see on these pages. We live on what was an old farm in a secluded little fjord with water in front of us and mountains behind. It’s a simple way of living and it’s definitely a call of the ocean and mountains.

We have a slower pace in life and have made that reconnection to nature and closeness to our environment. We would love to show around and share some of the magic that has captured our hearts.

    With a background in architecture but with a a love of hiking, and being in the mountains in both winter and summer. Ever one for dreaming over hiking everything possible peak in these islands.

  • Founder, Industrial designer, outdoor lover

    A passion for riding sideways with the elements be it kitesurfing, hydrofoil, snowboarding, Lofoten is one massive play ground for all types of activities. Makes sense that I want to live here!

  • Polar folk Samoyed, We call Luna the muffin most of the time. Luna is great at greeting guests, love going hiking, fishing and skiing. There for cuddles all the time. Sadly Laika passed away recently :-(
